Chris previously forged a successful career with the National Trust, eventually becoming the Assistant Head Warden at a large National Trust estate in north of England. Following the birth of his first son, Chris and his wife wanted to move back nearer to family and so he started his own business: Flitchwood Tree Services. With nearly 20 years of experience and qualification, Chris continues to focus on honest, reliable service as the root of the business.
Meet The Team
We're a small but perfectly formed team here at FTS. Chris is the founder and owner, having built the business from the ground up, after the birth of his sons meant a change from his successful career with the National Trust. From small acorns, mighty oaks grow and Chris has seen the business thrive year on year, taking on Tom as apprentice and seeing him through to becoming a fully qualified tree surgeon. Tom is dedicated, hard working and never stops smiling.
We are completely LANTRA NPTC qualified and compliant, with full public liability insurance so you can use Flitchwood Tree Services with full peace of mind.
Both Chris and Tom are passionate about what they do, and their love of working outdoors, meeting people and doing a worthwhile and rewarding job means you can be sure of a family-oriented, friendly approach from these two.
Tom joined FTS to be a tree surgeon in his home area of Burton on Trent after seeing an advertisement for an apprentice tree surgeon on a college website. He worked hard to qualify as an arborist. Tom was a natural fit for the business due to his ability to adapt to any challenge and work non-stop until the job is completed. He is dedicated to developing his skillset and experience even further and continues to add to his qualifications at every opportunity.
"A top class job"
Can’t recommend Chris and his workmate enough - a top class job. He removed a bad case of ivy from the side of my house as well as a whole load of bushes I didn’t want.
He encountered a wasp nest while he was working (unbeknown to me) and got rid of that too. Thanks so much fellas
